How to Make Your Wedding Magical at Strock Enterprises in Mechanicsburg, PA

How to Make Your Wedding Magical at Strock Enterprises in Mechanicsburg, PA

When couples tour our farm for the first time, they often pause. You can feel it right away. More than eighty acres of preserved farmland, family buildings shaped by generations of gatherings, and a setting that moves at its own pace. We have been hosting weddings here in Mechanicsburg for years, and we approach each one with the same mindset. Good food, thoughtful service, and a team that knows how to host people well. For couples planning a wedding that feels grounded and personal, here is what that experience looks like on our farm.

Choosing the Right Space for Your Guest Count

One of the first decisions couples face is finding a space that fits their guest list without feeling crowded or empty. Our farm offers several distinct venues, each designed to support a different type of celebration. The Catering Barn is often chosen for wedding receptions and seats up to 150 guests. It offers natural light, modern bathrooms, changing rooms, and handicap accessible entry. Tables and chairs are included, and our staff manages the flow of the event so guests can settle in and enjoy the evening.

For smaller weddings, the Corn Crib seats up to 65 guests at round tables. It is an all-seasons facility that balances rustic character with modern amenities, making it a comfortable choice for intimate celebrations. For larger gatherings, the Turkey Pen is an open-air venue that seats over 250 guests banquet style and up to 300 guests overall. It includes ambient lighting, electricity for DJs, ceiling fans, modern bathrooms, and handicap accessible pathways. This space allows everyone to celebrate together without splitting the guest list.

How Guests Move Through the Day

All of our venue spaces are located on the same preserved farm property at 729 Williams Grove Road, which keeps the day feeling connected. Parking is on site, restrooms are modern, and our team is present throughout the event to assist with timing and transitions. Your celebration can take place in one space or move across the property, and we focus on keeping the experience clear and comfortable for your guests.

Catering That Comes From Our Roots

Food plays a major role in why couples choose us. We have provided in-house catering since 1983, and charcoal cooking is part of our family history. Whole pig roasts, grilled chicken, pork chops, steak, and other meats are cooked over charcoal on our custom-built roasters.

Our buffet-style menus include appetizers, non alcoholic beverages, formal plastic table settings with linen-look napkins, rolls for dinner, dessert cutting and serving, table bussing, and packaging leftovers. A minimum of 50 guests is required for on-site catering.

Outside catering is not permitted, though homemade food may be brought in. Menu customization is available, and many recipes come from generations of family cooking. Our team is fully licensed and insured, with ServSafe staff and RAMP-certified bartenders.

What Is Included With Your Venue Rental

Venue rental includes tables and chairs, trash and recycling services, parking, modern restrooms, and dedicated staff on site to assist during your event. Selective venue spaces include sound systems and climate control, where applicable. We review the details of each space during planning so expectations are clear.

More Than Weddings

We also host birthday parties, corporate events, anniversaries, and holiday parties. We offer off-site catering as well, traveling within a 25 to 30-mile radius. That flexibility comes from decades of experience serving events of many sizes.

Conclusion

Planning a wedding involves many decisions. Our goal is to make the venue and catering portion feel steady and straightforward. We are a family-owned business, and every member of our team plays an active role in each event. If our farm feels like the right fit, we would be glad to show you around and answer your questions.
