Strock Enterprises has been part of the Mechanicsburg community since 1913. Today, our preserved family farm includes indoor, outdoor, and open-air event spaces across more than 80 acres. Couples can host intimate gatherings in the Corn Crib or larger receptions in the Turkey Pen and Catering Barn.
If you are comparing farm wedding venues, it helps to understand what is included, how catering works, and which type of venue space best fits your guest count and event plans.
What a 100-Year Family Farm Can Actually Offer Your Wedding Day
Strock Enterprises combines a preserved family farm setting with experienced event hosting and in-house catering. Our team works closely with couples throughout the planning process to help events run smoothly from setup through reception service.

Match the Space to Your Guest Count First
Farm properties can feel deceptively large, but not every corner works for every wedding. We have three distinct venue spaces, and matching couples to the right one is the first real conversation we have.
The Corn Crib seats up to 65 guests at round tables and works well for smaller celebrations. The Catering Barn accommodates up to 150 guests and includes heating, air conditioning, changing rooms, natural light, and handicap accessibility. The Turkey Pen is an open-air venue designed for larger gatherings with seating for more than 250 guests, banquet style.
Understand the Catering Policy Before You Fall in Love with the Space
Outside catering companies are not permitted here. That is worth knowing before you commit, because it is a deciding factor for some couples. What we can tell you is that the menu is more flexible than most people expect. Our in-house catering goes back to 1983. Our catering team has prepared charcoal-grilled meats and whole pig roasts for decades using custom-built roasters and family recipes passed down through generations.
Many menu items and cooking traditions have remained part of the family business for generations, and our team offers a wide range of buffet-style catering options for weddings and receptions. Entrées range from grilled chicken in the Strock Special Marinade and marinated pork chops to whole pig roast, slow-roasted beef brisket, shrimp au gratin, and crab cakes. Menu changes are accepted up to 14 days before your event. Homemade food may be brought in if you want a personal touch.
Know What Your Venue Rental Actually Covers
Every booking includes tables and chairs, trash and recycling, parking, modern restrooms, and dedicated on-site staff. Climate control comes with the Catering Barn and Corn Crib. The Turkey Pen does not include heating or air conditioning.
Event packages include dedicated time for setup, celebration, and teardown. A 3-hour event comes with 4.5 hours total once setup and teardown are counted. A 4.5-hour event gives you 7 hours total.
The intimate wedding package, built for up to 50 guests in the Corn Crib, goes further. It includes a sound system, sweetheart table, one-hour ceremony rehearsal typically on a Thursday, and gratuity. Buffet service, dessert cutting, table bussing, and leftover packaging are all handled by our staff.
The Farm Itself Is Part of What You Are Booking
Strock Enterprises has been a working family farm since 1913. The preserved farm setting gives couples and guests open views of the surrounding countryside throughout the property.
Our staff is ServSafe certified. Our bartenders are RAMP certified. Our staff works closely together throughout each event to help provide consistent service for couples and their guests.
Conclusion
Choosing a wedding venue involves more than selecting a scenic location. Couples also need flexible event spaces, reliable catering, and experienced staff to help the day run smoothly. At Strock Enterprises, we combine preserved farm surroundings with onsite catering and event experience built over generations.
