Family reunions are about togetherness, shared stories, and food that brings everyone to the table. We host reunions at Strock Enterprises with that goal in mind. As a family-owned, working farm in Mechanicsburg, we understand what it takes to bring generations together and keep the day relaxed and welcoming.
From small groups catching up to large reunions with guests of all ages, our preserved farm setting gives families room to reconnect and enjoy a meal prepared on site by the same team that has been serving this community for decades.
Choosing the right space for your guest list
One of the first decisions when planning a reunion is finding a space that fits everyone comfortably. We offer multiple venues across our 80-plus-acre preserved farm, each suited for different group sizes.
The Catering Barn seats up to 150 guests and works well for larger indoor reunions that want shared tables and room to move. The Corn Crib seats up to 65 guests at round tables and is often chosen for smaller gatherings. For outdoor reunions, the open-air Turkey Pen can seat 250 plus guests, banquet style, and includes ambient lighting, ceiling fans, electricity, and access to modern bathrooms. Because everything is on one property, families stay together without needing to split the group. That makes the day feel connected from arrival through the final goodbye.

Food that becomes part of the memory
Food is often what families remember most. Our on-site catering has been part of this farm since 1983 and is still handled by our own family and trained staff. We focus on buffet-style, home-cooked meals made for sharing.
Many reunions choose our charcoal-roasted meats, including whole pig roasts, grilled chicken, pork chops, and steak cooked on our custom-built roasters. Recipes have been passed down through generations, and meals are prepared and served by a ServSafe-certified team. Full buffet service includes setup, maintenance, tear down, non alcoholic beverages, appetizers, rolls, dessert cutting, bussing tables, and packaging leftovers. Outside catering is not permitted, but homemade food may be brought in. This works well for families who want to include a special dessert or recipe with personal meaning.
What is included when you host with us
When families book a reunion at Strock Enterprises, the basics are already covered. Venue rentals include tables and chairs, trash and recycling services, parking, modern restrooms, and staff support throughout the event. Climate control and sound systems are included where applicable, with the exception that the Turkey Pen does not include heating, air conditioning, or a sound system.
Events can be scheduled as three-hour or four-and-a-half-hour celebrations, with setup and teardown time built into the total reservation window. This allows families to focus on spending time together instead of watching the clock.
A setting that feels removed without being far away
Our farm is located at 729 Williams Grove Road in Mechanicsburg and has been preserved by the same family for over 100 years. There are no shopping centers or surrounding developments, just open land and working farm spaces. That sense of privacy is one reason families from Carlisle, Harrisburg, and nearby areas choose to gather here. Kids have room to move, adults can talk without competing noise, and group photos feel natural rather than forced.
Conclusion
We have hosted family reunions, milestone birthdays, anniversary parties, and holiday gatherings for generations of local families. Our team stays involved throughout the event, helping food service run smoothly and making sure the space works for your group.
